As we gear up for our championship-defending 2024 season, we’re excited to release a lineup of theme nights that are sure to make each match an unforgettable experience. This year, we’re celebrating everything from our championship, to music in our community, Pride, and much more. Mark your calendars, grab your tickets, and join us in making each game a special occasion.
1. Home Opener and Championship Celebration – Friday, May 24th
Kick off the season in style as we face league newcomers from Bellevue, Midlakes United, at 7:00 PM. Celebrate our USL2 National Championship as we unveil our championship banner, deliver the game ball from the sky (yes, seriously), and much more. Like every match we’ll have a full lineup of food vendors and we’ll have games and activities. Ballard versus Bellevue, you’re not going to want to miss this one!
2. Music Night – Saturday, June 1st
We’re turning up the volume with Music Night when we go up against the other league newcomers and local rivals West Seattle Junction FC! Get ready for a night filled with tunes and beats fueled by KEXP and featuring the Ballard High School marching band at halftime. Go to the KEXP gathering space on Seattle Center campus before the match for live music and march to the match with fellow BFC fans!
3. International Friendly – Tuesday, June 4th
Join us for the Battle of the Champions as we host Chivas U23 in an international friendly. The reigning champions of the Liga MX Apertura U23 are coming to town, including local player Antonio Herrera who recently went on loan to Chivas U23 from Tacoma Defiance. This special match is a unique opportunity to see up-and-coming talents both local and abroad and to celebrate the universal passion for the beautiful game.
4. Stevie Shao Night – Saturday, June 8th
Join us in celebrating local art with Stevie Shao Night when we face the Tacoma Stars. Stevie will be onsite and the players will be wearing their full Stevie Shao kits. Meet Stevie Shao, known for her vibrant murals and compelling artistic expressions that color our city, and grab an autograph! We’ll have kids art activities and more as we celebrate art in our community as part of our annual artist collaboration series.
5. Memorial Stadium History Night – Sunday, June 23rd
We’re celebrating the past, present, and future of Memorial Stadium History Night as we take on FC Olympia. We’ll pay tribute to the iconic moments and legends that have graced this historic stadium and we’ll celebrate the future as Memorial Stadium will soon we undergoing major redevelopment.
6. Pride and Impact Day – Sunday, June 30th
Soccer is a sport for all and at Ballard FC we work hard to help everyone feel included. As part of our work with Common Goal, we are hosting a Pride Match to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community. Join us in a celebration of diversity and inclusion when we play Capital FC. This day is about community, unity, and the positive impact of sports beyond the field. With Seattle PrideFest happening at Seattle Center on the same day, you can plan a whole day on the campus to celebrate Pride in our community.
7. Youth Soccer Day – Saturday, July 6th
Join us on Youth Soccer Day as we play Lane United. Clubs from around the city will be represented and we encourage all kids to wear their club/team jerseys! Young fans can enjoy interactive soccer games, meet-and-greets with players, and special promotions. It’s a day to inspire our local youth and celebrate the community of youth soccer clubs and teams.
8. Fan Appreciation Night – Friday, July 12th
End the regular home season as we say a big thank you to you, our fans, on Fan Appreciation Night against United PDX. Expect giveaways, fan shoutouts, and exclusive interactions with players and staff. It’s our turn to give back to the incredible supporters who stand by us all season long.
